The 29th Annual Seven Years War Convention
March 30th and 31st 2012 At the Ramada Plaza (Formerly Holiday Inn Downtown), South Bend Indiana
The Convention will be held on the 6th floor in the Oak Ballroom, easily accessed by elevator from the hotel lobby.
Dealers and game Judges may drive to the top of the parking garage and unload at the entrance to the Convention Hall.

Special Guest: Dr. Christopher Duffy Dr Christopher Duffy is the guest of honor at this year’s Seven Years War Convention. This year's topic will be: 'Notions for Assymetrical Wargaming - Highlander against Redcoat.' This is intended to spark open discussion on similar scenarious, and how far we should try to re-create the conditions of specific battles. Christopher Duffy is a British military historian that has taught military history at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the college of the British General Staff. He was also a research professor at the De Montfort University, Leicester. He was secretary-general of the British Commission for Military History and Vice-President of the History Society of Ireland. He currently works as a freelance author with over 20 books to his credit. Duffy's special interest is the military history of the European modern age, in particular the history of the German, Prussian, and Austrian armed forces. He is most famous for his writings about Frederick the Great and the Seven Years' War. |
